Brief

Swave a Ugandan footwear brand needed to break into the Kenyan market, but they faced a cultural hurdle: where Uganda appreciates the raw beauty of hand-craft, Kenya is heavily influenced by Western aesthetics. Kenyans demand a refined, high-status finish that signals global luxury. I was brought in to bridge this gap—taking a local product and giving it the polished, high-end visual language that speaks to the Kenyan consumer’s desire for status.
