African Warrior

Today`s TuesdayXperiment took a team to pull out. I sought the costumes and organized the team consisting of a Makeup Artist,Stylist two male and female models plus a few assistants . I also invited a photographer friend Paul Obuna (we totaled to about 10 people)

We began shooting in the evening when the sun was too weak to fight my strobes.. I wanted to control the lighting and not have a flat image that the diffused light would have given me.

The shoot went just as planned and ended at around 8:00pm. We actually hadn’t had enough but it was getting late. We later hanged out and enjoyed drinks till slightly past ten.

I did additional make-up on post.

Here is Part I of the shooot.

Willy Paul Msafi

Willy Paul Msafi Studio Photoshoot

Did Another Photoshoot with the Gospel artist Willy Paul Msafi Soon after his arrival from the 12 state tour of the US. Most of these images you may have seen them already as they have been widely used in the media already.

The shoot was also a quick one as the images were to be used the next day. I shot and edited the same day. If you get your lighting right it saves a lot of post production time.

WARRIOR: Game of Death

Today we begin Serialization of a project named Warrior. We start with Game of death
whose inspiration is a movie called warrior.

Unlike the other TuesdaysXperiment projects there was no pre planning was involved . I just picked up the phone and called up Edu (a graphic designer, actor and model) who luckily happened to have time. He came with his Gym buddy and we hurriedly looked for props. Dirt(to mess up their clean vests). Tomato sauce for blood effect. Water (for sweat effect) and bandages.

My aim was to make it look like a street fight where only the winner walks out alive.

Stay tuned for the Valley of death… inspired by the movie 300 Spartans.

Disclaimer :no Animals humans were killed in the making of this photos.. though a few good punches did land accidentally
