S.A artist Victor Basua

Victor Basua is a South African artist who came to do music production with leading labels in the country. To promote his new single, he came to the studio for some promo images. The first thing I do is check out the wardrobe that the client has so that I can decide how the shoot will flow.. he had this MC hammer pants whose fly hang almost to the floor. My first reaction was eeew nah we not gonna use that.. then the creative side of me was like “are you kidding me those pants are off the chains” i saw the sense and actually ended up linking the photo from that outfit more.

Here is some of the photos we took. at the bottom is one of the image that pulse published full page.

Ogopa DJs New Artist Massiger

Massiger is Ogopa djs new artist who dropped a new cool video (I dig that kind of ochaish stuff). He approached me for Promo pack which included a logo design. He had rough idea of the logo.. i refined his idea and created this logo.

black-on-white-backgound

All the shots were done in the studio. I later added some backgrounds I had shot Previously in Nairobi and lake Natron in postproduction.

New Studio

new hmurimi logo

Hello ya`ll been a while since I posted been busy with shoots and setting up a new studio … Today I welcome you to a bigger studio.. about three times or even four :) times bigger that my previous one. The new studio also boasts of ample and secure parking and is located just a stone throw away from Naivas supermarket (how cool is that). a petrol (gas) station and assorted ATMs (sorry now the trick of i forgot to carry cash will not work)

I also now have diverse shooting areas and a lounge to chill, do meetings or shoot there .. I`m also exited about the new water/rain shoot section which I`m yet to experiment with. I also have a kitchen and a changing room ETC…i shall also extend my working hours to 10:00 pm for those who can`t find time during the day.

I used to do walk-in shoots but this time it only though bookings. (\o/ yeah! no more interruptions during shoots). To commemorate this achievement I have changed the logo (wasn’t easy as I still liked the old logo).

You are certainly wondering where the studio is located..Its in Ruaraka off ourtering road about 200 metres from allsops rounderabout/ GSU headquaters on thika rd. ie Near Naivas ruaraka branch.

Tuesday blog post resumes tomorrow so be sure to check it out.

Cheers.

Onetouchlive Lake Natron Road trip

A couple of months ago I hooked up with a afew buddies from a cool gang called onetouch (Kitos Mwarv Migs and went for a Photography excursion. Its a regular thing we do search #onetouchLive on any social media and you will see the beauty of africa that we showcase with our photos.
Onetouchlive Lake Natron Road trip was the roughest we have overdone our designation was Lake Natron via magadi. Past Magadi there were no roads just tracks and trails, we endured the hardship despite being discouraged by several people we met on the road as the terrain was only manageable using serious offroad vehicles.
